Born in Caracas Venezuela, and having grown up in the New York/ New Jersey area Bert developed an early appreciation for very broad range of music ranging from jazz fusion to progressive British rock but was soon hooked by the discovery of electronic music out of Europe and its evolution into the underground electronic dance music culture, which has remained a passion for him ever since.
Bert attended American University in Washington DC where he graduated with a BA degree in Finance.Bert then moved to Chicago to pursue a career on the trading floor at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange where he continues to advise international institutions in the trading and derivatives marketplace.
Always staying close to his Latin roots Bert founded Ratio LLC which produces unique events to promote the cultural fusion of Latin sound and dance music.
The success of RatioNation.com and the unique following to the musical events led to the natural creation of RatioNetwork, which is designed to provide a casual arena for the development of business relationships through events such as fashion shows, multimedia exhibits and educational seminars.
Bert currently lives in Northbrook, IL with his wife, Jet. |
